I was proud to work as a photographer on Olly Murs’ In The Unknown Challenge, a fundraising event supporting UNICEF UK and Soccer Aid for UNICEF. The challenge saw Olly push himself both physically and mentally, taking on a demanding route through the stunning landscapes of the Peak District National Park.
Over the course of the challenge, Olly tackled a combination of running and cycling, navigating some of the Peak District’s most challenging terrain while raising awareness and vital funds for UNICEF’s work supporting children around the world. My role was to document key moments throughout the journey, capturing the determination, emotion, and teamwork that made the challenge such a success.
The Peak District provided a spectacular backdrop for the event, with rolling hills, dramatic scenery, and challenging routes creating countless opportunities for powerful storytelling imagery. From action shots on the trails to behind-the-scenes moments with the support team, the aim was to create authentic photography that reflected both the scale of the challenge and the importance of the cause.
